Hi,
I've inherited a large asian screen (70.5"W X 47.25"H; the frame is .75" deep) and would like to find a way to hang against dry wall. This piece was painted for my parents in the 1970s, and there are no mounting holes or brackets on the screen. I've been searching for mirror brackets, or other mounting systems that would hold the panels flat (4 sections), but would not require putting screws into the piece. The screen weighs 10 lbs. total.
I know it had some L or U shaped brackets, top and bottom, but the mounting system wasn't saved when I received the screen. Any thoughts on how to find brackets, hangers, or a whole hanging system for this piece?

I'm not sure how you would hang your screen(s) without putting screws into the back for hanging hardware. However, they are quite light in weight, so you could hang them to the sheetrock without necessarily finding studs (though this is always preferable; one aspect is that sheetrock fasteners require larger holes than ones going into studs). You will find various mating clip systems for this at the hardware store or frame shop.

I would just go to my local hardware store...i.e. Lowe's , whatever you have, and look through their fastner section....You might find something you hadn't thought of that would work fine.
