Every week, i see all kinds of questions regarding to architecture, I understand that all you guys are trying get some info out of the westerners, want to get some help and exchange ideas.. etc. come on guys. how many replies do you actually have if your account displayed that you are from the middle east or Inida. Ok, regardless of these online forum. Can you really do well (architecture) in the United States?

Let me tell you something about the truth of this American White society, I don't know anything about the UK:

I know you guys are going to bitch at me big time, but i'm going to say this, face the fact that United States is a white society. If you aren't white, sometime you just "no good enough" or "can't do what you really want to do". However, not every whites here are a little racist bitch like those in the white house or those 90% white population states.

There are many educated good white folks here, less than 20% of them that actually willing to accept Indians and Middle easterns. I'm sorry, those blonds are not into you guys.

Most of the whites here are only consider about themselves. Those fast food lovers, Bush voters. let's not get into that Gov. You know i can go forever. I'm one of the anit white society person even i'm just as white as that dumb ass G.W.Bush.

So, my point here is... want to let you guys know, your arch questions may get ignored by those "not really or not a big fan of darker skin" folks.

I'm very sorry. United State is a very fucked up country, regardless of the high-tech or good universities etc. That's it. Globe Warming will / is going wake up all these ignorant selfish people.

Take care. Remember to recycle.

Patronising attitude IMO, from what I read here most of the questions from Indian students seem to be addressed to other Indian students who are studying a similar building type.

In any case, I can't quite see how you know what colour most of us are (apart from the few who have avatars), so colour is hardly an issue on this forum.

An apology (on behalf of others) which doubles as an insult. Is there a Hallmark Card category for this ? Rolling Eyes

I imagine those who are the subjects of bias have already figured that out; maybe they should be encouraged rather than discouraged ? I'm sure the poster meant no ill will, but the motive for the post is unclear, to me.

AK47, let me confess that if you sign with this name "AK47", you make me real nervous. Do yourself a favor and find a more friendly signon.

Two things, first impressions time....you know the end of this story. You speak the truth, the amazing truth, of racial bias and concerns...but is it unique to America, or is it a human nature thing?

I am a participant on a wonderful Japanese website wherein this same subject is discussed over and over, and that is focused on Asians and other Asians, and the concerns they have.

And let me coin some new terms... white on white racism. Black on black racism. "Last name racism".

We know the drill. How can the limitations set by ignorant others, propell us into excellence? How can it motivate us?

The answer, as related by someone who is becoming closer and closer to me...an 85 year old woman, who told me...paraphrased..."Yes, work for someone else to get by IF YOU HAVE TO, but all the while start working for yourself, depend on nobody, start your own business on the side, let it grow little by little. You will always be "out of favor" at some stage in your life...times change, managers change, jobs change, the market changes, but be prepared to change yourself, and work with the lemons that are handed to you. Look around you...there is "money of the ground". Rocks can be money. Trees can be money. Garbage can be money."

Now, question for you, A-K... name me ONE COUNTRY in this world that is not racist. India? Pakistan?

I am developing another racial-ethnicity comparison on a Japanese website... to show (even to myself) how close we are as a world....
Comparing the Japanese Royal family, with the English Royal family...Do you notice any similarities? (images may contain pop-up ads)

Net, net...how can YOU EXCELL, regardless?

Recently, I had an opportunity to take a job in California and I declined for economic reasons....how could I duplicate the vibrancy of the East Coast with the unknown of the "new" West Coast?

Oh, and a small matter of a 50% stake on a duplex in the 1200 block of 15th Avenue, on the Panhandle, in your town.

And I am very interested in the progress of the new Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

So strange to architorture, in what way strange. which I don't see at all?

We'll cut Mr Architorture some slack; he's favored us all with an excellent Dom-ino.dreaming.blob.dreams.DC logo. . .

I expect Architorture is referring to the fact that AK47 says he is from California (even though he may have been assembled in Russia)

Lekizz, thanks for the correction, I am slow on the uptake meanings...

But for AK47, he makes several good points, a few of which I don't disagree with.

But back to basics...AK47, let me agree with you for the moment, America is screwed up right now. More and more Americans are standing up to get our country back, that is a historic fact!

How would you, AK47, typify middle eastern countries? Democracies or Dictatorships? Not screwed up towards women and gays? Not screwed up about other religious beliefs? Not corrupt?

AK47, can you "speak the truth", and "speak with sincerity", in the middle east without getting thrown in jail? What country can you say the things you said, AND NOT GET THROWN IN JAIL?

Remember, I am agreeing with a few things that you said!

I missed the point originally, sorry about that.

A few pieces for A-K...

First of all, today's New York Post...pg. 33... "Egypt Jails a Blogger", by Raja M. Kamal and Tom G. Parker...

"A former college student, Abdelkareem Nabil Soliman, is sitting in an Egyptian prison awaiting sentencing today. His alleged "crime": expressing his opinions on a blog. His mistake: having the courage to do so under his own name.

Soliman, 22, was expelled from Al-azhar University last spring for criticizing the university's rigid curriculum and faulting religious extremism on his blog.....charges of "spreading information disruptive of public order," incitement to hate Muslims" and "insulting the President."

On one hand, I don't think this same occurrence has happened in the United States, although given the erosion of our freedoms, who would be surprised if this soon develops?

Second story...Dr. Sanjay Gupta on CNN...amazing stories on autism, breaking through the barriers...this is the second time I have mentioned this reporter on this website. His latest is on an amazingly communicative autistic person named Amanda Bragg of Vermont, who actually explains her bizarre behaviour via a computer keyboard. Shockingly good and insightful.

http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/blogs/paging.dr.gupta/2007/02/behind-veil-of-autism.html
http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/blogs/paging.dr.gupta/

Third item...on another website, I compare the facial cranial "resemblances" of John Wayne, Yao Ming, and Arnold Schwarzenegger...the "Governator", who after a few political reversals has become a born again, bi-partisan, green concious GOOD politician, in my book...

(may contain ad pop-ups...)

We are all one family, despite our bias and prejudices!

PostPosted: Sat Feb 24, 2007 12:18 pm    Post subject: I think French and Asians are smarter than Americans! Reply with quoteFind all posts by Ed Ziomek

What has never been discussed, that I know of, is the intelligence and ingenuity gap of Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese, Japanese, over American universities and businesses.

America used to be the hotbed of creativity, and it still is in many ways.

What I am now seeing is the new creativity coming out of Europe and Asia, not necessarily America, and I think it is the beginning of a trend. America has dummied down far enough, and lazy enough, to pay for fossil fuel technologies for example, where the rest of the world is moving ahead.

My prime example this week is the "air car", a new technology out of France, MDI (Moteur Developpment International), wherein compressed gas powers vehicles for more than 200 miles on a tank of...AIR!

http://www.theaircar.com/
http://www.theaircar.com/thecar.html

And who is licensing it for mass development? Tata Motors of India!
http://www.theaircar.com/tata_agreement.html

Ethanol fuels. Solar powered vehicles. Hybrid technologies. Electric cars.

Note: Even Ford has bits and pieces of this market puzzle, so why are they going out of business, if they don't change, real real quick?

Because they are not bright enough, and sadly, I have to believe, America is wasting our energies fighting for oil...which is extinct in 30 years! Real dumb, real costly, real damaging, in my opinion. The future of American health may depend AGAIN on its immigrants, because we might not be getting the job done!

Congratulations France! Congratulations MDI, and you too Tata Motors!
