hii...
am an architecture studing in my 4th yr, studying in india.. next sem i have my thesis and the topic i have chosen is eco-tourism destinations and my end product is going to be a resort.. i would be really grateful if u could help in guididng me in my work.. giving me some imp points or guideline to be kept in mind and the books and architects work that i can refer.. maybe my topic isn't that great but am interested in it and wanna do a really good design.. i start my next sem on 21 aug and have gotta submit my synopsis on that day.. but during my hols which will start after my exams i.e. after the 27th oj july will have to work on my literature and live case studies... for which am starting my search now itself.. do help.. waiting for ur reply..

hi,
If your talking about eco-friendly concept...I would suggest that u research material on eco friendly materials and technology.Ar.B.V.Doshi now based in Ahmedabad has done some gud projects in this field.
There are also various technological aspects which can be incorporated in to ur design details like wind turbines,solar panels etc.
Since your these in related resort...it has a gud scope for utilising energy-efficiency and sustainable architecture concept...the amount of data available on the net is overwhelming...but dont ry to incorporate everything.Short list two or three methods applicable to maybe water,power etc.
My topic was health resort...and had selected eco-friendly theme but at that point was unable to do research on the technological part.
If u are from Mumbai---try out the JJ college library..it has gud collection for reference but u will need to contact a student of that college to avail permission.
Eco tourism is different...so Decide what is it that u want... and go ahead...al the best. |

thanks alot for ur info.. i will do keep in mind wat u have told me.. i have surfed the net.. n have got alot of case studies regarding ecotourism .. have chosen a few and they have got quite a lot of info too.. my lectures toohelped me alot.. but the info u gave not many have told abt it.. i will surelt write these points down.. thanks again for ur help.. well i am not in bombay but my sisters r settled there other than them i don know any1 from jj coll.. lets c i will try going to bombay but b4 i will speak to my bro-in-law n ask if he know any person or any1 child studying in that coll who cud help me.. but will try my best to go there.. thanks again..
