Hi,
I am a volunteer with a non-profit (501-(3)c), wilderness search and rescue group (Mountaineer Area Rescue Group - http://www.- abuse alert -). We are a very active group that not only provides search and rescue services, but is also very involved in research to improve search and rescue (SAR) operations. As a wilderness SAR organization we obviously depend heavily on maps. For planning purposes we have begun using GIS software to develop operational maps. Unfortunately, our search areas often times becomes large and in order to print maps we must break up the area into smaller pieces. This results in a lot of little maps being printed which often times leads to confusion. So...we would like to print using a larger format printer. However, as a non-profit group we have very limited funds.
So we are looking for an organization that may be willing to donate to us a working plotter. Something like a 24" plotter would be perfect. As a registered non-profit with the IRS we can provide you receipts for your donation thus allowing it to be tax deductible. In addition, you will have the satisfaction of knowing your donation has gone to help save lives.
We would be willing to pay for shipping if necessary. You can contact me at the following e-mail:
dferguso@mix.wvu.edu
thanks,
Don Ferguson |
